Introducing...The Super Hero Family!!

Some of you may remember so hard times during Halloween last year (see here) when we were one child short for Halloween. Well this time the grades were good and everyone got a chance to participate. As an added incentive, I had the opportunity to present a poster at the FMEC in Hershey Park and took the family along. We decided to indulge the boys a little this year and dress up with them.

Well of course, our little bundles of joy took it to the next level. We are currently enveloped in the throes of all that is SUPER HERO. Yep, we love Spidey, Batman, Wolverine, (pretty much anyone who does good in a cape or cool outfit). So the boys picked out their favorites (or ones that fit) and got to pick ours out as well.

We had Wolverine (aka Noah), Batman (aka Nate) and Spiderman (aka Nic). For the parents of these marvelous superheros we had Bat Girl (aka Mom) and Night Owl (aka Daddy).

After my poster presentation (which went very well) we headed to Hershey Park for some Trick or Treating fun. The park has "Hershey Park in the Dark" themed activities. We got a chance to walk around the park and trick o' treat for some seriously delicious chocolates(mmmm) and then ride some great rides. The boys had a blast. It was a little chilly so the super hero family took a few precautions and dressed war for the occasion but still managed to save the night (as all good super heroes should do).

More pics

Yep, we walked around all night wearing our great Super Hero costumes. The boys absolutely loved it! It was so fun and we got a lot of attention. Jason really got into it and used his cape to help set the move (hehehe!!!)

We even got a chance to take a couple of shots with the Super Reese's man! MMMmm, he's my favorite!

As the night was winding down, we got a chance to see the lights at night and get in one final shot of the Super Hero family minus the Night Owl.

We love soccer...

This is our first year of all three boys playing soccer. It is so exciting (read..draining). But they are having a great time. It is fun to see the different levels. Noah is doing really well this year. He is the most experienced defender on his team. The coach ( a new family friend) has been a great role model for him and has helped to develop some of his leadership potential (Thanks Chris). Nathan is hitting a bit of a rough spot this year. He started off really rough and seemed to be ready to start something new (he has been begging for Tae Kwon Do lessons). But these last few games, he has really stepped it up and the last game he played for 3 full quarters. Nic is doing great. He is doing more than either of the other two in their first season. He runs and tries to keep up with the bigger kids.

Pumpkin carving time...

The pictures say it all!!! The boys and Jason had a great time getting their little pumpkins ready. Everyone was excited! The boys picked their pumpkins, Jason prepped the pumpkins, we all carved the pumpkins and it was a blast!!!

New Slippers

Winter is on its way. We definitely feel it in our house. I am always telling the boys to put on some socks. So, I did it. I just went and got them some new slippers. How long will they last, who knows? Probably in the next day or two there will be one, two or even all three boys asking me to help find their slippers. But for right now, their little piggies are nice and cozy.

This is just one of the beautiful views we have in Tooele, Utah. It is so amazing seeing the mountains everyday. When I look at the mountains, I can only think God is amazing.

Waiting for Nicholas
Since we have been iin Utah, I have been waiting on my last child. One of the first rooms that was completed was Nic's room. I can't wait for his arrival and I can't believe how close we are to seeing his beautiful face.

Jason always looks so good in his uniform. It has been 9 years in and he still looks like a 2nd LT.
