We are taking it easy this year! We are on Spring Break and just want to spend a little time with the boys and take a break. But in true Tate style we took a last minute trip to New York. It was fun and exasperating...the boys are no longer impressed with spur of the moment trips. It reminded me of how fast time is moving. Noah is in the throes of teenage weirdness and Nate is only steps behind. I am fighting to keep Nic as a kid but he so wants to be like his big brothers. Our family is moving and growing and I just want to slow it down a little and enjoy every moment. It was great to get dressed up for Easter, visit the Metropolitan Museum, and Central Park. Overall, it was a great trip!

I'm Back...sorta
Hey Family,
Things have been a whirlwind in the last few years and unfortunately, I got away from blogging. But I am back...sorta. I am working my way back from Physician Burnout and finding a new normal for my life as a Wife, Mother and Physician. We are starting a new chapter of our life.....on the road again for the military. I am taking this opportunity to make a few (really a lot) of changes that will help us find a better balance. So I am back and looking forward to once again becoming ....

15 years and counting....
We did it....again! Jason and I had the wonderful opportunity to renew our vows. We celebrated our 15 year anniversary by going to Niagra Falls and renewing our vows.
We decided to do a vacation like event and just have he and I for the ceremony. No big surprise this time, just a nice small, intimate ceremony.
I would do again in a minute, by far the best decision of my life.

Catching up!
So much has happened and I don't even know where to begin... so I will start at the new beginning.
Happy New Year!
We spent the first day of this new year at the National Archives viewing the Documents of Freedom. The big deal is to view the original Emancipation Proclamation. Visiting the Archives on the 150th Anniversary of the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation was amazing. The Rotunda of the Archives was beautiful and historic and fun. The boys had a good time and hopefully learned alot.

Then........Now
Awesome Spring Break!!
This year we did a lot for Easter and Spring Break!! First of all,
my Mommy came for a two week visit. Yeah...!!!
So we all got a chance to spend some time together and to hang out with
family friends.
We got to go to 2 Easter Egg hunts (my boys just love getting the eggs and don't really
care what is in the eggs)! Noah was lucky this year and got the golden egg!
Easter Sunday was a great service and unfortunately we had to say Bye-Bye
my Mom but it was great to see her and the boys loved having her
here.

Before Grammie left for home, we took a couple of days to enjoy the break.
Living in this area there was so much to see, so we went to Harpers Ferry! We
decided that we are going to expose the boys to as much about our history of African Americans as we can so we took the drive to West Virginia. It was absolutely beautiful!
The boys were not overly impressed with the area but,...
they loved the pool!!
The coup de gras was the White House Easter Egg Roll!
The boys had previously been to the event with their Dad. This
was the first time that I went to the Egg Roll with them! It was fun, but extremely exhausting!
Whewww, what a Spring Break!
