Our September Snowstorm

So Grammie and Road Dawg wanted to go to one of Noah's soccer games. We watched the forecast the night before and knew it was going to be cold. Jason and I decided that Nate and Nic would stay home and the rest of the family could go to support Noah at 9am to a Grantsville game. We suggested that they(Grammie and Road Dawg) not go but they insisted, so Jason packed with car with sleeping bags. As it turned out, it was extremely cold and the sleeping bags were welcomed and used. Noah had a great game, listened well from the sidelines and even assisted several times during the game. So despite the cold, Grammie and Road Dawg had a great time and Noah played well.

It was so cold that some kids played with their coats on. I am going to have to get some long johns and sweats for Noah. I am not sure that we will get to finish the season. It goes to mid-November.
While Noah was on the sidelines he was wrapped in a sleeping bag to help warm him up. The game ended at half time due to weather. It started to rain and so the game was stopped. So we decided to get some breakfast at the local restaurant --"Jim's". By the time Nate and I got to the restaurant the rain had changed into light snow. During breakfast the light snow became snowflakes that were sticking to cars and the ground. We were warned that the weather was finicky here but really, snow in September. Who would have guessed? So here are some pictures of our neighborhood during and after our September snow!!!
Our backyard during the September snow.
More pictures of the backyard, we estimated that we got between 2-3 inches of actual snow. Look at the car, it is covered in snow.

Jason always looks so good in his uniform. It has been 9 years in and he still looks like a 2nd LT.
