Mommy Musing

So as a SAHM I of course am concerned about the future. Especially as it relates to my three boys. We are all aware of the epidemic that concerns young black men. Recently, Bill Cosby made a statement on Oprah that is really weighing on my heart. I have three black boys and the statistics say that one of my sons will end up in jail. I am concerned and worried and frightened by all that is going on in our country as it concerns race, ethnicity, educations, socioeconomic status and I AM SCARED. I can't wait to get my copy of "Come on people" by Bill Cosy and Alvin Poussaint. These are things that many Black moms have been worried about and thinking and it is good to get the "dirty laundry" out in the open so we can clean it up.

It was an eye-opening, great show. Not only as a mom, but as a teacher, those stats scare me, too.

Beautiful Utah

Beautiful Utah
This is just one of the beautiful views we have in Tooele, Utah. It is so amazing seeing the mountains everyday. When I look at the mountains, I can only think God is amazing.

Waiting for Nicholas

Waiting for Nicholas
Since we have been iin Utah, I have been waiting on my last child. One of the first rooms that was completed was Nic's room. I can't wait for his arrival and I can't believe how close we are to seeing his beautiful face.

Jason always looks so good in his uniform. It has been 9 years in and he still looks like a 2nd LT.

Nicholas is actually in this picture in a way, I am about 6 months pregnant. These pictures were to get a snapshot of our family before our last child was born.
