I know very few people read this blog, which is OK. Because it really is for family and friends just to catch up with our family. But my sister-in-law Emily tagged me. I am so excited because I see this on a lot of the blogs that I browse. So here goes...7 things about me.
1. I can't seem to give away books. I have been an avid reader since grade school. I have the hardest time giving away or getting rid of books. Even the ones that are not my favorites I still keep. I want to say it is because I cherish books....yeah I'll go with that!
2. Everyone thinks that I am mean. I tend to wear a serious expression on my face. I don't know why because my thoughts are usually not very serious at all. But it gives people the sense that I am no-nonsense. It can be good and bad at times. On top of that, I am known for speaking my mind and not sugar-coating. So maybe I am mean....nah, just Kandie.
3. I have little patience for stupidity. I can forgive and overlook ignorance but stupidity really gets my goat. Just a pet peeve. I won't give any examples.... to protect the stupid. This is such an issue with me that with my first child. I prayed that he be teachable. I did not want a stupid child so I prayed (and prayed) that he at the very least be teachable. Be careful what you ask for, he is always asking questions, questioning my every move and thought and correcting me. This is from a 5 year old. What was I thinking!
4. I am a scrapbooking fanatic. I have gotten to the point that I can't enter a scrapbooking store without buying something. I often later find that I have multiples of paper, stickers, embellishments etc. I have been scrapbooking for almost 10 years. I want to leave a legacy to my kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids to help them understand the importance of history and family. I truly believe you can't know where you are going if you don't know where you've come from. I think scrapbooking our family will help future generations know where they have come from.
5. I love to read romance novels. It is a little secret....but I will stay up all night until I have finished a book. It is almost like an obsession. I can't put the book down until I have read every page. I have been reading romance novels ( I really love the historical ones that have a minimum of 300 pages!) since I was a teenager. It is a form of escape and release for me.
6. I hate to exercise. Yes, I know it is good for you. Yes, I feel better when I have finished. But the starting up and getting done with it part of exercising,,,,ugghh. I hate it!
7. I have a really bad short term memory. I forget names, places, people, but not faces. This is a problems since things are always changing. I forget where I put my keys on a daily basis (sometimes they are lost for days at a time). I often put things up so that I can remember where I put it....then of course I forget where I put it. On top of having a horrible short term memory, I hate to forget stuff. So I will spend hours looking for something and it will bother me until I find it. Weird I know!
Thanks for the Tag Emily. Now I feel like a real blogger. I don't know who to tag next because not many of my friends have blogs. But I'll try it with Charlotte to see what we can find out about her!

Beautiful Utah
This is just one of the beautiful views we have in Tooele, Utah. It is so amazing seeing the mountains everyday. When I look at the mountains, I can only think God is amazing.
Waiting for Nicholas
Since we have been iin Utah, I have been waiting on my last child. One of the first rooms that was completed was Nic's room. I can't wait for his arrival and I can't believe how close we are to seeing his beautiful face.
