We just found out that we are going to .....D.C. I matched into Family Medicine at Howard University. I am so excited. We are so blessed. The long wait is over and we have made it to another turning point in our life. Whooooo Hooooooo !!!!

GOD definitely has a sense of humor. Here is our story to this point.... When Jason and I were Seniors at Tougaloo College I was accepted into Howard School of Medicine. Jason joined the Army and his first duty station was in Baumholder Germany. We made a tough but necessary decision that we would focus on our marriage and God and move to Germany. So I gave up my position and re-considered my medical career. Fortunately for me, I have a husband who loves me and knows me. He encouraged me to continue my pursuit of medicine and continue my education. So I earned my Masters in Education from the University of Oklahoma and re-applied to medical school. Noah was born several weeks before I started medical school at Meharry Medical College. Nathan was born as I struggled through STEP 1. Nicholas was born after I graduated from Meharry and I was starting a Master's in Public Health.

Through all these years, we have remained faithful to each other and to the Lord. Jason became a member of the Church of Christ and is a faithful and wonderful example to not only our children but to the Church as well. We have grown as a couple and as a family always keeping God first and keeping each other close. We have made tough decision and been through difficult times (Jason's deployment to Iraq) and now we are being rewarded for our faithfulness and love. Now we are almost full circle. We are back at Howard University where it all started in medicine for us.

We know that we are children of God, who are blessed and loved by our family. Thank you all for your unwavering support and love and prayers. We are all a family and we love you all.

I am officially a PGY-1 at Howard University. Whooo Hoooo !!!
