more winter fun...lots of pics

This is a long post covering a couple of days and events. So scroll down and see what the Tate family has been up to...

Nicholas is a wonderful child. He just wants to be close to the action and enjoys being around his big brothers. For him, the little things make him happy and he smiles often and with great feeling. He loves to be in things and the boys mesh laundry basket is no exception. I just couldn't resist a few shots of pure childhood fun.

For those who don't know, Noah is a super hero fanatic. He loves all things super...hence his fascination with figures. He has so many that he can't keep up with them. We are using this ongoing obsession as a learning tool. He is reading comic books (great for his reading skills and vocabulary) and collecting comic books (great to teach him to take care of things and as a learning tool and eventually a money maker). Needless to say, we are now a comic book family (my brother who is also a fanatic is loving his nephew).

We were supposed to be watching a movie. They just couldn't hang (all were out as soon as the lights went out). Great quiet time for me!
Boat Show
Jason has a unique love of the water and boats. He has been passionate for many a year about getting a boat. I have made a promise and a commitment to get him a boat (one day--as soon as I get a real job, pay back my loans, and get the boys college fun set for them). In the mean time, we love to go to boat shows. We went the latest one in Baltimore and what did we see...our dream boat. Yep, I said our Hubby's dream is mine too. I want to give him what he wants and it is fast becoming a joint dream. So of course, while fishing is interesting it is not my passion so the boat has to accommodate the family needs. Meet our future boat...

I really liked the inside. I don't have to be in the sun all day and there is amenities including a bathroom, a kitchen and a place to take a nap. I am already picking out books to read on our future boat...

While the boat show was fun, it was cold outside after wards and by the look on Nate's face...no fun.

Nic was fascinated by Daddy's working out and went to check things out first hand and to give him a little motivation.

Don't you just love this face!!

Serious Winter Fun

So we finally got some snow (about 2-4 inches) along with several days of no school. Which meant outside now fun. Noah of course loved the snow. He had a good time playing in the snow, throwing snow balls and generally being a snow boy. Nathan tolerated the snow and eventually had a little fun. Nicholas was fascinated by the snow, he had a good time sitting in the snow, playing with the snow and eventually playing with his brothers in the snow.

************ Quick funny story.... We live about a block away from our Daycare center. So we just walk over in the mornings to get the boys off to school. We have had some serious snow and weather for the past few days with this morning in the high 20's. So we get up and get ready and head out the door. The sun is shining so this should be no problem... yeah right! There was a sheet of ice over everything. We made it one block in about 30 minutes. Noah and Nathan were sliding all over the place. Nate finally had enough and gave up. He waited for me to drop off Nic and come back and get him. I had to slide down a hill to get Nate and walk him to the daycare. During all of this Noah was slipping and sliding and falling all over the place and having a great time. I just had to laugh! I haven't had that much fun in a long time!!!********************

Beautiful Utah

Beautiful Utah
This is just one of the beautiful views we have in Tooele, Utah. It is so amazing seeing the mountains everyday. When I look at the mountains, I can only think God is amazing.

Waiting for Nicholas

Waiting for Nicholas
Since we have been iin Utah, I have been waiting on my last child. One of the first rooms that was completed was Nic's room. I can't wait for his arrival and I can't believe how close we are to seeing his beautiful face.

Daddy in Uniform
Jason always looks so good in his uniform. It has been 9 years in and he still looks like a 2nd LT.

Nicholas is actually in this picture in a way, I am about 6 months pregnant. These pictures were to get a snapshot of our family before our last child was born.
