This is an extremely long post filled with multiple pictures covering about a two week period. Some may seem mundane, but it is the day to day life of the Maryland Tate Family. Read on at your own risk.
Valentines Day this year was interesting. As always, we were recovering from Nate's Bday (see below for more details. So things were a little hectic. Generally, we take things pretty easy with a card and a small gift, usually flowers are involved. This year, I didn't get any flowers but I gave some. Hubby is so hard working and I realized that getting pretty flowers is not only for me. I think I caught him off guard...but I think he liked them. I may have created a monster!

HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY NATE!!!!!!!
Nate had a great birthday (at least he appeared to have a great time)!! He went to school telling everyone that he was having a party. Apparently the teachers forgot it was his birthday and another parent brought goodies for Valentines, so the kids were already pumped. Fortunately, both Jason and I were able to go to the Daycare ad give some cupcakes, take some pics, and sing a few songs for his birthday. I think his favorite part was the special birthday hat!!!. Nate really seemed to enjoy himself even though he didn't eat his cupcake!!
Because we did not have an official party for Nate, we went to CEC for a little fun, games and pizza. I think Nic had the most fun! He enjoyed just running around and touching things and trying to play the games. Nate found a game he enjoyed and played until he ran out of coins. Noah was all about avoiding C.E.C. (chuck e. cheese) and getting as many tickets as possible.

I took some stills of Nate dancing!! HILARIOUS!!! He had such a good time with CEC that he just had to dance. He was so cute! The boys has a little coordination. I don't know where he got that from...
Nathan has a true affinity for Dora the Explorer. He loves her and learns while he is watching her. So of course, he had to get the new Dora VTech game along with a nifty Dora balloon. I also got him some golf club. He has the most potential so far to have some athletic ability. He doesn't like to be outside when it is cold, but in the spring we will see about some golf and soccer for him and soccer for Noah.
Jason got a chance to visit the Senate and meet some real politicians and policy makers. He took some really cool pictures of all the beautiful architecture and statues in the building. When the family comes to visit we will definitely have to try and get some tours of the Senate building.
Teamwork!
Jason and Noah worked together to put a 100 piece puzzle together. Both were very proud of their teamwork and patience in putting together the Spider man puzzle!
This month has been especially hectic because I am covering inpatient family medicine. In-house patients are generally sick with a multiple problems requiring long hours. I currently am on short call QOD (in the hospital til 9pm every other night). So when the boys see me at night we try to get in some quality time. This was a weekend night (so they were still up when I got home). I just took some time and listened to them and it turned into a family love fest.
