Big boy bed

Nicholas has decided that he is too big for a crib. On at least 2 occasions, he has jumped over the railing. One morning he met his dad at the door. In another situation, we heard the bump as he hit the floor. So, we decided to oblige him and remove the railing. The first night we were unsure of whether he could handle only railings on 3 sides so we supplemented him by adding some pillows in case he fell out of the bed. He did great with no major problems. He made it through the night and stayed in the bed. Now if only we could get rid of the paci....
