Christmas 2011 (Traditions and all....)

The Gingerbread decorating was in full effect! We initially we thought we would try to make the Nativity scene out of rice krispies. It was a great idea but Mama is not that creative. We also did not want to do the Gingerbread house, the boys were pretty adamant that they wanted to decorate (and eat) Gingerbread men! Fun was had by all, the boys made some interesting designs they really liked the mohawk kid with the sunglasses and we made many interpretations of that design. They really just had a good time and lots of fun eating the candies and the cookies.

Since graduation, we have been a little more laid back and relaxed around her. I have been tyring to get more quality time with the boys (more than homework and cooking) and so we have been doing mini projects. I love the great ideas on pinterest and the boys love doing the projects. We made a few projects for the Holidays including Peanut Butter cookie reindeer, snowmen powdered donuts, and reindeer chocolate donuts. The boys got to get one gift on Christmas eve (traditionally, we give new pajamas) and this year was no exception.

We have had a great year this year! We decided with all the blessings that we were going to tone things down for Christmas and focus on family and enjoying one another. We only brought a few small toys and one big present for each kid. Unfortunately, Noah is on probation (Hey, you can call me mean but I am a Mama of my word and good grades are important) and only got to unwrap his toys without opening them. Nic (our Toy Story Fanatic) made out like a bandit and was extremely happy with all of his gifts. Nate (our Techie) was in overload with the different video game options. Noah (our Comic book fanatic) tried to get to me via Mother's Guilt several times today, but I am holding firm. Jason (our resident scholar) now has all the tools to complete his degree in style. I got just what I wanted (and some...) with the softest, warmest, and fluffiest house shoes available. Over all, it was a great Christmas. We went to church services and then made our way to the house for the completion of a wonderful Christmas Day.

Merry Christmas

Beautiful Utah
This is just one of the beautiful views we have in Tooele, Utah. It is so amazing seeing the mountains everyday. When I look at the mountains, I can only think God is amazing.

Waiting for Nicholas
Since we have been iin Utah, I have been waiting on my last child. One of the first rooms that was completed was Nic's room. I can't wait for his arrival and I can't believe how close we are to seeing his beautiful face.

Jason always looks so good in his uniform. It has been 9 years in and he still looks like a 2nd LT.

Nicholas is actually in this picture in a way, I am about 6 months pregnant. These pictures were to get a snapshot of our family before our last child was born.
