Week 2 of the Tate boy adventures

I think with this picture, Nic had had enough. He is so used to taking pictures that he doesn't even flinch when a flash goes off. He just decided to hide his face and let me and his dad have our way, while he slept of course.
Nathan is having a tough time adjusting to his new status as middle child. He has become somewhat whiny, needy and cries all the time. We are working on getting him out of this rut. He truly loves both of his brothers and hopefully we will get our old independent Nate back very soon...if for no other reason than because this new Nate is driving me crazy.
Noah loves holding his little brother Nic. I don't remember him being so fond of Nathan. Maybe he is more wise with his age (not to mention he has been through this before and knows the baby is not going back). So everyday, he ask can he hold his brother and will I take a picture. As usual, at this age Nic could care less but as he gets older I don't think this family tradition will last.
Daddy is in love with his three sons. He is so good with all of them, making sure they have special time with him and get his attention as needed and wanted. I am so proud of him and how he is handling the stress of fatherhood and having a military career. He is setting a wonderful example of what a real man is all about and I hope the boys are watching and taking good notes.
Jason laughs at me for my pic with Nic's age on them. But I think they are a great way to chronicle his growth and how much he changes. I know its corny, but this is my last child and I want to try to capture as many precious moments as I can. I feel like it will pass so quickly and I want to preserve as much as I can. I don't have the time the scrapbook so this is a way to let my kids see how much they mean to us. So that fact that I am taking pictures and blogging almost daily gives me a sense that I can leave them with something that lets them see themselves and hear my thoughts while they are growing up.

This is a post-bath picture. His hair is never this straight or slicked down, it is usually all wild and twisted. But he was wore out from the bath and let me brush his hair and snap my pics with hardly a whimper. He is so cute. I have a baby pic of Jason that looks just like this one minus the paci.
This is the pre-bath look. Doesn't he look terrified. He does not like to be cold or wet. He is all balled up and waiting for the drama. The only thing that remotely calms him down is the paci and eating. He still cut up during the bath but that is OK. He has to be clean and I am used to it now.

So, Jason's a blog-basher, too? Haha! Joeie says, "Doing that blog stuff again, huh?" I agree with you -- it's somewhat of an online baby book. I love the pics with the age on them, and I wish I had done that. So glad to see that the boys are doing well, and praying that Nathan will get back to normal soon.

Beautiful Utah

Beautiful Utah
This is just one of the beautiful views we have in Tooele, Utah. It is so amazing seeing the mountains everyday. When I look at the mountains, I can only think God is amazing.

Waiting for Nicholas

Waiting for Nicholas
Since we have been iin Utah, I have been waiting on my last child. One of the first rooms that was completed was Nic's room. I can't wait for his arrival and I can't believe how close we are to seeing his beautiful face.

Jason always looks so good in his uniform. It has been 9 years in and he still looks like a 2nd LT.

Nicholas is actually in this picture in a way, I am about 6 months pregnant. These pictures were to get a snapshot of our family before our last child was born.
