My True North

I was tagged by Emily to answer some questions about Jason. Sometimes in the day to day, I forget about all that he is and does for me and our family. Jason is a great man, a wonderful husband and an awesome father. He is doing so much---work, school, family and managing to balance them all. I am truly one lucky girl....so here goes:



1. Who is your man? Jason

2. How long have you been together? Married 10 years, together 14 years

3. How long did you date? 4 years

4. How old is your man? 32

5. Who eats more? I eat more… I am a carb fanatic

6. Who said "I love you" first? He said it first….;)

7. Who is taller? Jason in at 6 feet

8. Who sings better? He sings much better, great baritone when he wants to sing

9. Who is smarter? I hate to say it, but he is smarter. He looks at things from multiple angles while I tend to make a decision and stay with it. He is more flexible and more determined so his common sense keeps up with his book smarts.

10. Whose temper is worse? I have a much worse temper. In all of our years together, I have yet to see Jay lose his temper.

11. Who does the laundry? Jay washes the clothes, I fold them and put them away. We try to work as a team. So sometimes, I do it all…when he is busy or stressed.

12. Who takes out the garbage? Him…it is in our contract. I take out the garbage when he is out of town.

13. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? He sleeps on the right side, but honestly he could sleep on the floor for all he cares. Just getting him to come to bed is a major feat!

14. Who pays the bills? He pays the bills, but when he is deployed or out of town, I pay the bills. But we both know what is going on and where the money is going.

15. Who is better with the computer? He is better with the technicalities of the computer.

16. Who mows the lawn? The out of doors belongs to him. He cuts the grass, washes the cars, shovels the drive…all that jazz belongs to him. Again, it is part of our contract.

17. Who cooks dinner? Usually me(it’s part of the contract)...but he jumps in and helps out and he grills all the time.

18. Who drives when you are together? Jason usually drives during family trips and when we are together. I am the navigator and map reader.

19. Who pays when you go out? Jason

20. Who is most stubborn? Jason

21. Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? Jason…he is a true communicator (almost to a fault) and believes in talking things through (we always fight fair…ugghh, just kiddingJ )

22. Whose parents do you see the most? Both about equal…we struggle with keeping the boys involved with both sets of grandparents and all their great-grandparents….nothing is better than family!

23. Who kissed who first? Who knows…it was 14 years ago

24. Who asked who out? Jason asked me out as a friend and study partner

25. Who proposed? Jason with some help….ha ha

26. Who is more sensitive? Jason is way more sensitive then I am…go figure

27. Who has more friends? Jason has more friends, he is an extrovert and talks to strangers in the elevator… I am an introvert who enjoys my alone time (when I can get it)

28. Who has more siblings? Jason, he has two sisters and a brother
